What is Visioääni?
Seven drum channel plugins, one per drum: Kick, Snare, Snare Bottom, Tom, Hihat + Cymbal, Overhead and Drum Bus. Each is a complete channel for that drum, made for the big modern American rock and metal sound and tuned by measurement on real recordings. Visioääni is a one-person company in Tampere, Finland.
Which formats and systems are supported?
VST3 on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit), VST3 and Audio Unit on macOS 11 or later as a universal binary for Apple silicon and Intel. AAX is not available at launch.
Which DAWs work?
Any VST3 or AU host. Cubase, Reaper and Studio One are tested. Satellite, Sync and Duck share audio between plugins inside one host process, so hosts that sandbox every plugin (AUv3, Logic's sandbox, plugin bridges) run the plugins but without those links.
Why do the controls go from 0 to 10?
So you set them by ear. There are no hertz or decibels on the panel. The DEEP button opens the fine controls, which are already tuned by measurement.
How much CPU do they use?
From 1.9 % to 7.9 % of one core per instance at 48 kHz, measured in the version 1.4.0 test run.
Do the plugins add latency?
Yes, a fixed amount that your DAW compensates: 1840–2624 samples for the channel plugins (38–55 ms at 48 kHz) and 192 samples for the Drum Bus. It never changes while you work, so automation and renders stay consistent.
Buying
When can I buy them?
Sales open after the beta. Prices will be announced at launch, per plugin and as a bundle. Join the launch email to hear first.
Who handles the payment?
Lemon Squeezy, as the merchant of record. It processes the payment, sends the receipt and handles VAT and sales tax for your country.
Will there be a trial?
Trials and licensing details will be announced at launch.
Beta
How do I join the beta?
Apply on the beta page. Beta rounds are small, and each tester gets a personal key code by email.
Why does the beta need an internet connection?
The beta key code is confirmed with visioaani.com when you first activate it, so a code works on two computers and its hours start from your first activation. After that the plugins work offline for up to three days at a time.
What is sent during the check?
Only the code's serial number, a one-way hash of your computer's ID, the plugin name and version, the DAW name and the operating system. No audio, no project data and no personal files.
