Who makes this

Visioääni · Nekala, Tampere, Finland · 61.50°N

Sami Räty is a theatre lighting and sound technician in Tampere, Finland. The curves in these plugins come from his own sessions: four snares from four projects, four kick tracks, three toms and overheads, all measured before a single default was set.

Visioääni is his one-person company. The plugins are coded, measured and packaged in Nekala, a district of Tampere, about 8 500 kilometers from the sound they are chasing.

The method is the same for every plugin: record what real drums do, measure what a good mix does to them, and put that into a default you can trust. Then reduce the controls to the few a drum actually needs and give each one a range from 0 to 10.
